How to play roulette online in the right way?
Roulette is a casino game played on a table with the wheel and a roulette betting layout. On the wheel there are alternate pairs of odd and even numbers which are black and red. There is also green Zero and double zero in American roulette. 36 numbers on the table layout are arranged in three columns. Each column has 12 numbers. You can see all the possible bets in the table below.
Up to eight players may play roulette at the same time. All of them bet against the casino, which is represented by a croupier (pronounced Crew-pee-ay as in 'hay'). Sometimes the croupier can be called the dealer.
Once all players have made their bets, the croupier spins the wheel and introduces the ball to spinning in the opposite direction. As the ball loses momentum in its spin, the croupier makes a gesture over the table surface and announces there are to be no more bets. When the ball stops in a number's slot, the croupier places a dolly (a special marker) over it, pays out winning bets and clears the layout for the next spin.
Bets are placed on the table layout with coloured chips acquired from the croupier. Winning coloured chips are exchanged by the croupier for value chips which the casino in turn exchanges for cash.
What is called an 'American' roulette wheel has two zero slots which give the casino a much greater advantage than when a 'European' roulette wheel with only one zero slot is used. Which type of wheel is used impacts players because the house advantage differs; in the case of a single zero wheel the house advantage is 2.7%, meaning that the house is entitled to 2.7%of your winnings; in the case of a double zero wheel the house earns 5.26% of your winnings. Moreover, it is customary here to tip the croupier when you win. Different roulette tables offer different minimum and maximum bets.
Placing bets in roulette
Each player is assigned a different colour of chip. You may make multiple bets on a single spin. Below are the different classes of bets and their corresponding payouts. You will notice that bets may be placed on individual numbers, groups of numbers, or characteristics of the numbers, such as whether they are even or odd. For example, if you place your bet on that square in the layout which says "odd," and any odd number comes out, you win.
|Roulette Name For Bet||
Nature Of The Bet
|Straight Bet||A bet on a single number||35:1|
|Split Bet||A bet on two adjacent numbers||17:1|
|Street Bet||A bet on three numbers on a horizontal line||11:1|
|Corner Bet||A bet on a block of four numbers||8:1|
|Five Number Bet||Only one five number bet is possible: 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. Because this bet, alone among roulette bets, raises the house advantage to over 7%, it is advised not to place it.||6:1|
|Line Bet||A bet on six numbers in two adjacent rows||5:1|
|Column bet||A bet on one of three vertical columns||2:1|
|Dozen bet||A bet on the 12 numbers of and of the three groups 1 -12, 13 - 24 and 25 - 36.||2:1|
|Even bet||Any bet placed on an odd number, an even number, a red number or a black number or a low (1-18) or a high (19-36) number||1:1|
Some casinos observe rules of 'Surrender' and 'En Prison' for even money bets.
In Surrender, you get half of your even-money wager back should the ball land on the single or double zero.
In the case of 'En Prison,' when the ball lands on 0 or 00, your even-money bet must stay where it is, its fate determined by the next spin. On that next spin, if you win, you take back all your chips with no additional winnings; if you lose, your bet gets swept away; if a 0 comes up again, your wager remains En Prison.
