The 1-3-2-6 Baccarat System determines how much money to wager each hand. 1, 3, 2, and 6 are the numbers that show how many units you need to wager on each hand. A unit is certain amount of money you want to bet.

According to this system you need to bet a one unit on the first hand. If this hand wins, you need to wager 3 units on the second hand.

If you win again you need to wager 2 units. And if you win the third hand in a row you have to bet 6 units. If you win all four hands you will get 12 units as the pure profit. Let’s examine an example.

You make a $10 bet on the first hand and win, so you get your $20 where $10 is your wager and $10 is the win. Then you must add $10 to your $20 therefore your bet is $30 on the second hand. If you win again, you will have $60 ($30 your bet + $30 your win). Now you have to bet 2 units that is $20. You win again and have to wager $60 and if you win the fourth hand in a row you'll receive $120.

If you lose any hand, you must return to the very beginning and start again with 1 unit, to minimize your losses.

They say the maximum loss on any bet is not more than 2 units:

  • If you lose the first hand you lose a one unit.

  • If you lose the second hand you lose 2 units.

  • If the third hand is lost, your profit is 2 units.

  • If you lose the fourth hand, you break even.

Honestly speaking, the 1-3-2-6 system does not work for Baccarat. It may work for games such as Roulette or Sic Bo. It doesn't work in Baccarat since there is a 5% commission on the banker bet.

I've told you above that you will have even money if you win 3 hands and lose the fourth, but it’s only true for the Player bet. However, the casino advantage is higher on the Player bet, so your chances to win are less than on the Banker bet. If you bet on the banker, your loss on the fourth hand is 0.3 units.

Of course, if you want you can try it. Just remember in the long run the casino gets much more odds. That’s why if you win using the 1-3-2-6 system, you’d better quit with your winnings and not try your luck!
