Casino Classic – A Casino for the Ages?
Few casinos stand the test of time, and only those that provide the very best in customer service and entertainment can survive. Casino Classic pitches itself as one of those casinos, and it’s got reason to be optimistic. Founded in 2005, it came online at a time when online casinos were exploding in popularity, thanks to the combination of improving technologies and the relaxation of online gambling laws and attitudes worldwide.
It’s still going strong today, and that’s testament to the quality of the experience you can expect here. I’ve played at Casino Classic multiple times, even before writing this review, so I know from first-hand experience why I rate this as one of the best of the bunch.
Part of the ever-impressive Casino Rewards Group of casinos, Casino Classic is regulated as fair and legitimate in Kahnawake. As a result, that means they can’t accept players from the US (check out Bovada instead), or some parts of Europe and Australia. If you’re in the UK, you’re golden.
Casino Classic doesn’t really pretend to be something they are not, and there’s not the usual flashy graphics or strong theme here. This is a hark back to land-based casinos you might have visited, and I’d say the graphics and appearance of the site are fairly typical of what you might expect from a regular, everyday casino. There’s no attempt at lavish glamour here – it’s all about focusing on the over 500 games, complete with free play modes, jackpots and a suite of bonuses we’ll discuss in a moment.
Let’s start with the user experience. As I’ve already mentioned, you probably shouldn’t expect too much from the graphics here. They’re not flashy, and there isn’t really a strong theme to speak of. But who needs themes? For me, it’s all about excellent quality games, a good selection to choose from, and strong support infrastructure to make playing as enjoyable as possible. For me, it’s got all of these features and more.
Withdrawals are subject to a 2 day holding period, and that’s two working days rather than just 48 hours. During this time your withdrawals will be held in pending, before being moved to processing and ultimately paying out. While this can mean there’s a little delay, it’s usually only to allow time for verification and processing so they can make sure they know who they’re paying to, and that it’s a legitimate transfer.
If you need to talk to customer support at any time during withdrawal, or for any other reason for that matter, they’re always on hand to help you out. Choose from live chat or free phone support for the quickest response – I’ve used both and found the team to be helpful, professional and otherwise hard to fault.
Of course, it’s also important to discuss the banking and payment methods available for deposits and withdrawals, to and from your casino account. At Casino Classic, a range of payment methods are supported in both directions, including Bank Transfers, eCheck, ecoPayz, EntroPay, InstaDebit, Kalibra Card, Maestro, MasterCard, NETELLER, PayPal, Postepay and Visa. Particular shout out to PayPal here – it’s not too common to find PayPal casinos, so it’s good to know Casino Classic is on hand if you’ve got funds burning a hole in your PayPal account.
There are other deposit methods available, but these can only be used for making deposits – you’ll need to choose an alternative method to receive your withdrawals. These include Citadel Instant Banking, eps, Euteller, GiroPay, iDeal, iDebit, MB Multibanco, Neosurf, paysafecard, Poli, Przelewy24, Qiwi Wallet, Sofortuberweisung, Trustly, and Zimpler. The same applies to additional withdrawal methods, such as Bank Wire Transfer, Check by Mail, and Courier Check.
Game Types & Selection
Casino Classic prides itself on having a wide selection of games – more than 500 to be precise. Mega Moolah, Tomb Raider II and Thunderstruck II are among just some of the slots titles on offer, many with progressive jackpots running into the millions just waiting for that next lucky winner to come along.
Because the games are provided by Microgaming, you know this is a casino that’s guaranteed to give you a good game. In my opinion Microgaming games are far superior to those from other developers, and this remains one of the main benefits of choosing Casino Classic, or indeed any Casino Rewards Group casino.
Aside from a huge selection of slots, there’s the usual lineup of table games, with slick in-game graphics and features, along with others that are less common – craps, sic bo and Cyberstud poker to name a few.
The games are available in both free play mode and real play mode, so you can choose to test out new strategies, or play for real money, depending on how you’re feeling. This, mixed with the sheer selection of games on offer, means there’s plenty to keep you busy. I’m trying to play my way through all 500 games – granted, that could take a while, but I’m guaranteed to have fun along the way.
The welcome bonus stands at $500, spread across the first five deposits. Your first bonus is a 100% match up to £100, followed by 50% up to £100, 25% up to £100, 50% up to £100 and 100% up to £100 for the fifth withdrawal. On the downside, there’s a 60x playthrough requirement for the first deposit, which is pretty high when you compare this to other casinos.
The subsequent deposits are only limited by a 30x playthrough requirement, which swings the other way in terms of being at the lower end of the scale. There’s also a free hour of play available for new players signing up, where you’ve got an hour to do as much damage as you can – do you fancy your chances?
I actually think this is an OK bonus, when the 60x for the first deposit is balanced against the 30x wagering requirement for subsequent and later deposits. Bearing in mind other casinos set out at 30x-60x across the board, it’s not the best I’ve seen – but I don’t rate this too badly either.
Unfortunately, not everyone agrees, and some player comments show disappointment with the bonus, both in terms of the amount on offer, and the playthrough requirements to successfully withdraw. You can’t please everyone. As long as you know and understand the terms and conditions beforehand, it’s up to you decide whether this is the right bonus for you.

Casino Classic tries hard to appeal to mobile players specifically. So much so, that their website is served by default as their mobile site, so you can get a fully responsive gaming experience within your browser. I usually play in my mobile browser, and it’s easy to get started without the need to find the app, download it and install it on your phone.
It’s also good for incognito play as well, and you can get up and running in a few minutes – perfect if you’re on the train, or on your lunch break and you fancy a quick game.
The website proudly announces support for iOS and Android, as well as Windows and Blackberry OS respectively. I’m not sure how many players are logging on from Blackberry phones these days, but I suppose it’s good to know! Either way, you won’t have any compatibility issues playing on any mobile device.
In my view, Casino Classic is a good place to play, whether you’re playing on mobile, or you’re playing on the downloadable version on your desktop. The only slight criticism perhaps is in terms of their promotions, and the terms and conditions of their bonuses. Chat can be slow at certain times of the day, but now it feels like I’m starting to split hairs.
Generally, this is a safe, fun place to play, with 500 of the best games you’ll find anywhere online. I would personally recommend Casino Classic, and it’s one place I’ve spent more than enough time playing with to truly understand it’s offer. Maybe their bonuses could be better, but all in all, this is a casino that comes highly recommended.
