Roulette bets

To play Roulette you have to know the bets you can place while playing this great game. There are two main types of bets: inside and outside.

The Inside bets are placed on number combinations which are in the inner section of the table:

Straight bet is placed on any single number, the stack of chips are placed in the center of that number. Straight bet odds are 35:1.

Split bet is placed on two neighbouring numbers, the stack of chips are placed on the line dividing these two numbers. Split bet odds are 17:1.

Street bet is a wager placed on three numbers in a horizontal line on the edge of that line to the left. The odds here are 11:1.

Corner or Square bet is the wager on four numbers placed in the center of these four numbers. The odds here are 8:1.

Four Bet (available in European Roulette Only) is the wager on four numbers (0, 1, 2 and 3) placed on the border between the first row and 0. The odds – 8:1.

Five Bet or Basket (available in American Roulette Only) is the wager on five numbers (0, 00, 1, 2 and 3) placed on the border between the first row and 0.

Line bet is placed on six neighbouring numbers on the crossroads between two streets with these numbers. Line bet odds are 5:1.

Trio bet is a wager on two or three numbers and zero, the chips are placed on the intersection between 0, 1 and 2 or 0, 2 and 3. The odds - 11:1.

Zero Split is the bet placed between two zeroes (American Roulette)

The outside bets are the bets that are placed outside the numbered section on the Roulette table:

Even money bet is a wager on 18 numbers placed on the following: 1-18, 19-36, red, black, even and odd.

Column bet is a wager on all 12 numbers on one of the three vertical lines placed in a box ‘2 to 1’. The bet odds are 2:1.

Red or Black is wagered on a red or black numbers placed on the area to the left of the table. This type of bets is the most popular, the odds are 50/50 or 1:1.

Odd or Even is placed on odd or even numbers (without 0) on the area to the left of the table. The odds are the same as they are in red and black bet, 1:1.

Low or High is a wager on the numbers between 1 and 18 or between 19 and 35 respectively placed on the special area on the table. Low or High odds are 1:1.

Dozen is the bet on 12 numbers (1 -12, 13 - 24 or 25 – 36) placed on the area to the left of the table.The bet odds are 2:1.

There are Call or Announce bets and Neighbour bets common for French Roulette, but now can be in European roulette as well.

Call bets are the following:

Les Voisins du Zero is a nine-chip bet: two chips on zero, 2, 3; 2 chips on 25, 26, 28, 29 and one chip on every of the splits 4/7, 12/15, 18/21, 19/22, 32/35.

Tiers de Cylindre is a six-chip bet: a chip on each of the splits: 5/8, 10/11, 13/16, 23/24, 27/30, 33/36.

Les Orphelins is a five-chip bet: a chip on 1 and a chip on each of the splits - 6/9, 14/17, 17/20, 31/34.

Zero Spiel Is a four-chip bet: a chip on each of the splits - 0/3, 12/15, 32/35 and 26.

Zeo 7/9 is a six-chip bet: a chip on each of the splits 7/8, 8/9, 17/18, 28/29 and numbers 19, 27.

Final is a bet on all numbers which ends the same number, for example, 1-11-21-31 (Finales en plein). This bet can have three or four chips. You can also bet Split - Final bets placed on two neighboring numbers, (Finales a cheval), e.g., 1-2, 11-12, 21-22, 31-32 or 7-10, 17-20, 27-30.

There are four Neighbour bets:
1 - a 3 chip bet on three adjacent numbers on the roulette wheel.
2 - a 5 chip bet on five adjacent numbers on the roulette wheel.
3 - a 7 chip bet on seven adjacent numbers on the roulette wheel.
4 – a 9 chip bet on nine adjacent numbers on the roulette wheel.
