Microgaming powered poker rooms and its players will have something to wait eagerly for in the new year. While more tournaments, guaranteed prize pools and free cash bonuses is certainly music to any poker players ears, this New Year's surprise will be in the form of a very anticipated online poker software upgrade. Microgaming is currently holding the reign on a Beta version of this new gaming software, which they are going to unveil at the International Casino Exhibition in the end of January.

In a recent press release, Roger Raatgever, Microgaming CEO, prepared online casino operators and gamblers with an update on the promised software upgrade. Roger Raatgever placed emphasis on the fact that player feedback has significant to developing their latest innovative online gambling product. Catering to both newbies and veteran poker players, Microgaming says that the tables in their new software are more accessible and faster.

Although much more will be unveiled at the International Casino Exhibition, the upgrade consists of new table resizing options, avatar customization, advanced multi-table capabilities, private/social network chatting, and user-friendly features like "view chat", "best hand", "player calendar" and "pop-up hand history".

With the promise that Microgaming will be revealing the beta version of their new online software at ICE 2008, its imminent players will get a chance to put the upgrade to the test early in 2008. Unlike the typical casino upgrade, in which a handful of new online games are simply added to the software portfolio, poker software upgrade of Microgaming will affect the entire playing experience.
