European Blackjack

European Blackjack is played with two decks of 52 cards. Decks are shuffled after every game has been completed.

The rules are very simple.

• Blackjack beats any hand with a total value of 21.
• The Dealer must stand on all 17 and draws on all 16.
• Split is possible once. The player can split hands with the same card denomination but not with the same value.
• A split Ace and a 10 don’t count as blackjack.
• Double is possible when the player has a hand with a value of 9, 10 or 11. The doubling bet is the same as the original bet.
• After doubling down only one card is dealt and the hand stands automatically.
• The player can’t double after split.
• If the dealer’s face-up card is an Ace the player can make insurance that costs half the original bet.
• The player can’t make insurance after a split, or a double.
